ITC Credit Bureau

Posted on February 17th, 2010

The ITC Credit Bureau is a great place to visit if you want to check your credit record before you apply for loans. Your credit record is the information that tells banks whether or not you have been a responsible spender. The ITC can generate a report that details any financial trouble you’ve had in making payments as well as the speed at which your payments are most commonly made. It will list whether or not you’ve ever been blacklisted and will indicate how you manage your debt. It is an important piece of information for the staff at the lending institutions where you want to take out a loan, and if you don’t do it they will.

So how do you get this information from the ITC credit bureau? It’s very simple. You simply visit the bureau and request that they check your record, and generate a report. If you were blacklisted and have since resolved your financial trouble this is a great way to prove to banks that you have improved your ability to manage your debt and thus may make it easier for you to apply for loans. It is not a guarantee that your application will be successful, but it is an indication to the bank that you are on the road to healthy spending.

To manage your debt, take small steps such as only using your credit card when really necessary and trying to avoid having more than one account at clothing stores. Always pay your rent and utilities on time, or in advance. If you have been blacklisted, seek debt counselling or debt consolidation so that you can start taking the steps away from financial trouble. You can also make the effort to get your own credit record generated at the ITC Credit Bureau.
